MicroAid Vision

For poor families, family enterprise can eradicate poverty. MicroAid Projects will channel cash from online donors direct to poor families for investment in new enterprise technologies in rural communities.

 

MicroAid Projects charity objective is: The relief of poverty and financial hardship by low income families through micro projects to develop new enterprise technology skills. Micro-Projects are funded by better off families online and channeled through community facilitation partners from any part of the world. Poor families choose from wide selection of enterprise activities appropriate to their micro production resources and local market opportunity.

 

MicroAid Projects include enterprise skills training and work experience; local market surveys and visits; support of family enterprise materials and grants; self-help groups organisation and local community partner facilitation.

 

MicroAid Projects Table

The table concept is a communications tool for all involved in family enterprise and the alleviation of poverty. We often as a family discuss problems around the kitchen table or over a meal. A family table discussion encourages the understanding that money is not the only answer. You cannot eat money. Stomachs are not filled from isolation and no activity. What is needed is family enterprise. How can we as a family reduce and eradicate our poverty.

 

The table also represents the exchange of
information. The recent development of coffee table computers (Bill Gates - Jan 2008) are also part of Microaid Projects vision of livelihoods connections centers for poor communities. These connection centers of the future, half an hour travel time from poor families home will provide Information and Communications Technology (ICT) facilities
of LCD touch sensitive screens on walls or tables. Community facilitators can assist low income families find the information and connections necessary to help them come from behind and move out of poverty forever.
