HOW?
To support the implementation of this grass- roots learning process, skilled administrators are needed to guide community facilitators. Also important is an online system that makes communication easy between local organizations in poor areas. Further, the help of wealthier families is required. Through MicroAid Projects’ connecting rich and poor families, the vision of family enterprise to eradicate poverty can be achieved.

WHAT?
Many poor families in rural areas, particularly in Indonesia, are unaware of what options exist to improve their families’ incomes. Many poor families depend on the incomes of the husbands, while housewives who are able to work do not know how to make financially productive use of their time and potential for family enterprise.

WHY?
BBy gaining new skills, housewives are able to start a family enterprise on their own or in a group. By learning about family enterprise, housewives can use their time around the home, as well as their potential as skilled workers to start earning extra income.

WHERE?
Through the MicroAid Projects website www.microaid.org, and with the help of community facilitator partners, poor families prepare micro project proposals, which are publicized worldwide and funded online. Donors find micro projects and poor families they wish to support and receive direct reports via email. MicroAid Projects, through its community management and administration field office, provide assistance to facilitators and to poor families to:

* Help in the preparation of micro project proposals

* Raise funds for micro projects through the MicroAid Projects website

* Review and translate micro project reports for top donors

* Register and accredit local community organisations (Community Facilitation Partners)

* Update facilitators' profiles and news from the villages

* Publicize family enterprise results through newsletters

* Prepare case studies and articles on the progress of family enterprise

* Develop family enterprise guides of new and simple knowledge and skills
