The training is intended to provide knowledge in financial accounting and business development for the group of poor women who sell vegetables on the outskirts of the village street. Training starts from an explanation of bookkeeping, calculating profit and loss and increase revenue by selling vegetables. The training will be conducted during one week by learning by doing method.
Benefit
Women will have ability to manage money better and increase income by selling more various vegetables. The average income of a mother as vegetable seller at the moment is less than INR 50 and when the skill has been acquired, it is expected that revenues will increase to INR200.

Learn to make Rosary necklaces of shells

Rosary necklaces are used as a complement to prayer. Low income families learn how to make necklaces and bracelets from dead shells collected on the beach. Necklaces and bracelets will be given additional accessories such as the cross (as pendant) so that it can be used as a necklace rosary.
Benefit:
Necklaces sell for $3 or more and take an hour to make. Little money but when you are living on less than $2 per day this puts extra food on the table, pays for medicine or school books. MicroAid – practical solutions for families living in poverty.

This training will provide skills for mothers to learn to make bags and shopping baskets from palm leaves. Coconut trees are abundant in our village, so the raw material is abundant and we can make the bags and baskets with a variety of designs. The selling price of bags and baskets made from palm leaves are £ 2 – £ 4 per piece; can be used for everyday needs or as a souvenir for tourism. We desperately need your help so that we can learn the business skills.

Training made beautiful vase of large shells

Activity:
There are many large shells on the beach around our house. We use the shells of dead mussels (no animals anymore). We use these shells as potted plant or vase of flowers that can be placed on a coffee table. It is very beautiful and exclusive.
The training that we will do is to know the various types of shells, how to clean it, maintain and decorate the shells that can stand up and lay on the table.
Benefit:
Crafts made from shells are very beautiful and have a high selling value. If we can make this craft, then we will try to sell at hotels or airports at Maumere City. This craft can be a souvenir for tourists, both foreign and domestic.

One day there was a wedding party in our village and there are plates for dinner served made of rattan. The plates are very unique and interesting, because we never seen before. For serving food, above the plate covered with banana leaves or plastic coated paper.
In this training, we learned to make dinner plates made from rattan. The training begins to clean up the rattans and forming the plate. If we are able to create it, then we will try to sell these plates in the village market.
Benefit:
As a work of art, then this type of dinner plate is perfect when used at a party or a family reunion. We will sell our work in the local market or to our neighbors, so we can earn extra money for the family.
