Homebased training in home business bookkeeping for poor women selling vegetables door to door, at the roadside or local village markets. Training starts with an explanation of bookkeeping, calculating profit and loss and increasing revenue from selling vegetables. The learning by doing training is conducted during one week.

Value for poor families

Trained women will have the ability to manage money better and increase their family income by selling more types of vegetables. At the moment, the average income of a vegetable seller is less than INR 50 ($5) per day. After MicroAid home business bookkeeping training, it is expected that family revenue will increase to INR200 ($20) per day. Poverty line for a family is approximately ($10 per day).
