Learning to make cooking oil from coconuts

A MicroAid Project

Mothers seemed to grate the coconut fruit is to be made into cooking oil

This project has now received full funding and is being prepared to implement.

Description of activity: The cooking oil is used almost every day when we will be cooking. In this course we want to learn to make our own cooking oil from palm fruit which is widely available around our village, in Hewuli.

Advantages of activity: If we are able to create our own cooking oil, it will save spending money on everyday shopping. We will first try to make cooking oil from some old coconuts, and if successful we will expand into cooking oil is more durable and long lasting so it can be sold to a nearby kiosk.
