Learning to make shells handicrafts

A MicroAid Project

Philipus shows off the ornate decoration of the shells for doors that he wants to make with his friends

This project has now received full funding and is being prepared to implement.

Description of activity: We live on the beach so many shells are scattered and not being used. In this activity, we want to take advantage of our shells as raw material for handicrafts. Handicrafts to be made are ornate door decorations, necklaces, key rings and hair accessories.

Advantages of this micro-project: Results of this training; we can make a variety of seashell crafts. Could provide additional money for us to pay for school for me and my younger brothers and sisters, because in addition to the raw material is plentiful and do not need to buy, with skills that will we get, then we could sell crafts at a price range from IDR 5.000 ($.50c) for key chains and IDR 50.000 ($5) for door decoration.
